FETAC Level 6 - Event Management

In the current environment, more and more large organisations are taking the management of their events in-house. The staff being entrusted with the planning and management of these events can find this a daunting task, especially if it is not part of their normal day-to-day role.

This is a two-day "Event Management" course, which is accredited to FETAC level 6, will run on the 13th and 14th May. This course will give your staff the knowledge and confidence to run successful events in an efficient and effective manner.

Run in Association with Pluto Communications (www.pluto.ie), one of Irelands leadiing Event Management companies, participants will gain an understanding of the key skills of event management, from experienced event management professionals.

By completing this course participants will:

• Understand how to research, prepare and present a proposal for an event
• Understand human resource management in the event environment
• Develop a knowledge of contracts, legal requirements, health and safety and contingency planning at events
• Distinguish between different event environments
• Prepare a PR campaign for an event
• Appreciate record keeping and Quality Assurance in the event environment
• Understand how to prepare and deliver a post event evaluation report
